This is my first water reflection studies. We went to The Lake Anza at Tiden Park 7am in the morning. I painted the water relfection the way how I paint the sky. One thing I found it difficult was I need to always make sure where my reflection is going to be. It’s very hard to put a light color on top of the dark color once I already painted with bright color on it.
On this class, we focus on painting the clouds. It was not easy to paint a moving cloud ! lol I really like the hill we went. I want to go there again.
On this class, we were painting on freeway 24. There was a small area where I thought it was an entrance to a small park. Somewhere after the 24 tunnel. I remember I found a small area, sitting on a grass by myself. and I painted two pieces on that day. It was really fun. The light constantly changing. The shadows..and the clouds were changing too. I enjoy painting and chasing the moving clouds. ( there is a little kiki tree at the center of the second piece ! )
Same day as the day we painted at the Brooklyn patio. On evening, Bill took us to a place near to the “radio tower” somewhere…at Berkeley or Oakland hill.. I am not sure. It was pretty cool up on the hill. I think I was too ambitious to paint too many stuff on it. =)
Painting at Brooklyn patio. This painting is my actual landscape outdoor painting. It was fun. We gather together at the Pixar new building the Brooklyn patio. It was on the third floor, and that was my first time looking at the view up there. It was really a nice day. Painting the tree was a little bit tricky and hard for me. I was still trying to get used to the pastel. =) —- did you see the lotso ?
